The stake is virtual balance points, not real money. It carries the market multiplier locked in when the prediction is published: if the pick hits, you get the “Return” shown in the panel above — the stake times that multiplier — and the profit counts toward the analyst leaderboard. If it misses, the stake is gone.

A 0–100% scale the author sets themselves next to their pick — how sure they are about the outcome. It doesn't change the multiplier or the payout, it's just an honest signal for readers.

If the match is cancelled or postponed with no new date, the prediction gets the “Refunded” status: the stake goes back to the balance in full, and it doesn't count as a win or a loss.
